Heather R. Trachtenberg, BSDH, RDH
I have been a practicing dental hygienist for over two decades. I attended the University of Rhode Island from 1994-1998. At the end of my junior year, I earned my associate degree in Dental Hygiene (ASDH). I passed the National Board Examination and the North East Regional Board Examination and became a registered dental hygienist (RDH). I continued my education and earned my Bachelor of Science degree in dental hygiene and baccalaureate minor in psychology from the University of Rhode Island in 1998. In 2016, I earned my local anesthesia certificate from the University of Bridgeport.
As co-therapist to the dentist, I am the first clinician you will meet. Your first visit will be at least 60 minutes to allow me to take initial records, perform several types of examinations, and provide oral hygiene and dietary instruction. This may be the most thorough exam you have ever received in the dental office.

Sleep Coordinator and Front Desk Manager
As our Sleep Coordinator and Front Desk Manager, I am dedicated to ensuring every patient has a positive, seamless experience from the moment they contact our office. I coordinate our dental sleep medicine program, guiding patients through each step of treatment while providing education, support, and personalized care.
In addition to overseeing our front office operations, I strive to create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable, informed, and valued. Whether I’m helping schedule appointments, answering questions, or assisting patients on their journey to better sleep and improved dental health, my goal is to make every visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible.

With 38 years in the dental field—including 20 years as a dedicated hygienist—I have a deep understanding of comprehensive oral care. I am passionate about patient education, helping you and our community understand how to maintain healthy smiles.
Outside the office, I love spending time with family and friends, especially my grandchildren. I also enjoy cooking, crocheting, golfing, photography, crafting, and spoiling my pets!
